After over two decades of sweet harmony, the Ottawa Valley will be slightly less in tune.
The Valley Harmonizers Seniors Barbershop Chorus will belt out their final set this weekend before hanging up their straw hats for good in early May.
The group, which has featured over 50 community members over the past 25 years, has roots in the Valley dating back to 1972, when founder Neale Dalton and friends began performing barbershop-style numbers for the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Auxiliary Ball before they officially formed as a group in 1999.
Since then, the Harmonizers have made countless appearances across the region, including their annual Barbershop Cabaret weekends, and saw the formation of several offshoot groups as members passed through their ranks.
