Election Day across Canada is on Monday, April 28.
Candidates in our newly named riding of Algonquin-Renfrew-Pembroke include:
- Randy Briand, United Party of Canada
- Cheryl Gallant, Conservative (incumbent MP)
- Eileen Jones-Whyte, NDP
- Stefan Klietsch, Independent
- Cyndi Mills, Liberal
- Seth Malina, Independent
- Danilo Velasquez, Green Party
In the 2021 federal election, Gallant, first elected in the year 2000, got just under 50 per cent of the vote with 28,967 votes, the NDP’s Jodie Primeau was second with 12,263 and Liberal Cyndi Mills was third with 11,335.
The polls will be open on election day, Monday, April 28 from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. You don’t have to bring your voter information card with you to vote, but it does streamline the process. Use the Online Voter Registration Service to check your registration, register or update your address information.
