
A shoplifting incident in Renfrew was the first domino to fall in the buildup to police recovering more than $30,000 in property.
Lennox and Addington County OPP were on alert for a suspect’s car after a Renfrew drugstore was stolen from on Friday, April 11th, eventually tracking it down travelling along Highway 7.
Officers pulled the vehicle over and spotted stolen items inside, later confirming that $30,000 worth of goods were recovered during the stop.
Andrei-Razvan Tulea, 29, of Toronto has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and theft under $5,000 for shoplifting.
Tulea was held in custody after a bail hearing in Greater Napanee.
