Firefighters in Haley’s will be adding a few pastels to the typical fire engine red found around their usual digs.
The Haley Station Firefighter’s Association will deck out their Fire Hall on April 12th for A Hop-py Haley’s Easter, an open house-style event that will follow what Lieutenant Nathan Jahn explains has been a winning formula as they continue to connect with the community.
Jahn invites you to drop by to tour their fire hall and the many life-saving instruments they use on the job, plus a visit from the Easter Bunny, activities and games, hot dogs and hot drinks for lunch, a bake sale table, items up for raffle, and an Easter egg hunt that will keep children busy collecting the lost eggs scattered about the hall in exchange for sweet treats.
He says the themed events have been a big morale boost for his fellow firefighters, adding that the plan is to keep the good times rolling.
After welcoming 131 guests to the Fire Hall over Halloween and another 168 at Christmastime, Jahn says the Fire Department is aiming to break the 200 visitor mark as they continue to introduce themselves to people in the Haley Station community that they might not have a chance to meet personally otherwise.
A Hop-py Haley’s Easter runs in and around the Haley Station Fire Hall, 17 Fire Hall Lane, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 12th.
