
An individual is now facing 11 charges after the OPP Community Street Crime Unit arrested a man in relation to an armed robbery at a restaurant in Pembroke on March 24.
“Investigators have also linked the individual to several thefts from area stores between January and March 2025. Items stolen include electronics, alcohol, clothing, food, fuel and BB gun ammunition,” reads an OPP press release.
As a result of the investigation Mason Ryan Nolan, 32, of no fixed address, has been charged with robbery using a firearm; disguise with intent; failure to comply with a release order and eight counts of theft under $5,000.
The charges have not been proven in court.
The accused was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on March 25. Police have not recovered the firearm used in the robbery at this time.
In addition to UOV OPP frontline patrol officers, several OPP units assisted with the investigation including the Renfrew County Crime Unit, OPP’s Forensic Identification Services (FIS), Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine Unit.
