Emily Moore and Ozzy
Renfrew Victoria Hospital’s charitable arm is entrusting one community member to go the distance for their Oncology Department.
My Broadcasting Corporation’s Emily Moore will bring her annual 50km Dog Walking Challenge back this May, continuing to give back after being inspired by another person’s journey in support of the Canadian Cancer Society three years ago.
After bringing in thousands of dollars in pledges for cancer and multiple sclerosis research in previous years, she says choosing to support her local hospital was an easy choice.
Moore says working with the RVH Foundation to bring the needed donation infrastructure into place has been amazing, adding that Executive Director Patti Dillabough and her team got on board with the Dog Walk immediately after Moore brought it forward.
Just like she was inspired by another long-distance Dog Walk, Moore encourages the community to get out over the course of May to take the challenge on for themselves and even create their own fundraising page on the RVH Foundation website to bring even more money in for the cause.
She does suggest that anyone joining her in support of the hospital take the challenge slow and split it up across the entire month.
Donate to Moore’s campaign or create your own fundraising goal through the RVH Foundation’s website.
