The group overseeing Renfrew County’s school buses has chosen not to risk it on our local roads today.
The Renfrew County Joint Transportation Consortium says all of their services have been cancelled due to icy road conditions and today’s forecast for a mix of snow and rain and dropping temperatures.
Much of Renfrew County was put under a freezing rain warning by Environment Canada for part of last night, as they predicted local roads and walkways would become difficult to navigate under current conditions.
Schools across the county will remain open all day for classes.
