The driving force behind Giving Tuesday at Renfrew Victoria Hospital is still all in on supporting them, even amid an investigation.
My Broadcasting Corporation President and long-time supporter of the RVH Foundation, Jon Pole, says he understands people’s concerns as provincially appointed supervisor Altaf Stationwala’s mission to investigate concerns about financial irregularities at the hospital approaches the six-month mark.
Most parties involved have been tight-lipped on what’s happened in that time, but Pole has gathered from recent discussion he had with Stationwala that the issue is likely a transactional issue and not something affecting the care RVH provides.
Pole adds that Stationwala was able to reassure him that his goal of matching donations made by the community on Tuesday, December 3rd, will not be affected by what’s happening.
He goes on to mention that he has never been more proud or confident in the money he has donated to RVH over the years, adding that “when you’re in their care, you sure feel like you have the right team on your side.”
All donations made to the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation on Tuesday, December 3rd, will be matched by Pole, effectively doubling the community’s support for our local hospital.
