Renfrew area youth have the chance to learn a new sport and get active starting next week.
Coach Vicki Wilson says she and brother Jason are ready to mix practice and play as their Small Ball Basketball program enters its fall session.
The program gets underway on Monday, October 7th, running weekly for ages 9 to 14 every Monday at Renfrew Collegiate Institute and every Tuesday for ages 5 to 8 at Queen Elizabeth Public School.
Wilson says it’s a perfect opportunity to show the sport they fell in love with off to a new generation, regardless of the skill level they walk into the gym with.
Growing the sport of basketball locally has been a labour of love for the Wilsons, but Vicki says that it’s worth the effort to watch local youth take to their philosophy on-and-off the court.
Online registration is still open at $85 per child ahead of the first camp day.
