Anticipation is growing for the event set to put the cap on an eventful Renfrew summer.
Tickets are selling well ahead of the 169th Annual Renfrew Fair, which kicks off four days packed with food, games, and fun this Thursday according to the Renfrew Agricultural Society’s Office Coordinator, Judy Dobec.
The weekend will also feature three nights of live music, headlined by Canadian rock icons The Trews on Friday, Leonard Skynard tribute act Saturday Night Special’s performance on Saturday, and a Sunday matinée with Canadian country music legend Carroll Baker.
Also performing throughout the weekend will be acts with plenty of ties to the Ottawa Valley, including the VanDura’s, Rainwater Whisky, Terry Marcotte, and more.
Dobec says the fair is gearing up to be an amazing experience at all ends of the Renfrew Fairgrounds, including some important events lined up for many of the local farmers attending.
She adds that that plenty of local livestock judged at the Renfrew Fair have gone on to earn top marks at the provincial and national level.
Tickets are going fast, but the community are still invited to buy theirs in advance straight from the source.
The Renfrew Fair is also selling special ticket bundles for gate admission and each evening’s entertainment through their website.
