Jarrett DeFazio
The Junior A Renfrew Wolves have shuffled the deck once more this summer.
Club President Brent Gould tells myFM that the Wolves have mutually agreed to part ways with General Manager Steve Norton, just a short time after hiring him earlier in the offseason.
Gould says the team is excited to welcome Jerrett DeFazio into the organization as their new GM.
He notes that DeFazio comes with a “ton of experience in junior hockey coaching, management, and especially scouting. He will be a part of our great hockey staff to help move the Wolves to the next level and usher in a new era of Renfrew Wolves hockey.”
In a statement, DeFazio called it a huge honour to join the organization. “Renfrew is steeped in hockey tradition. I bring with me over 35 years of hockey experience at various levels of pro, junior, and collegiate hockey as a player, coach, scout, and executive.”
He goes on to say that “there is a special place in my heart for the CCHL, playing in the league as a 15-year-old. I look forward to connecting my network of relationships across the hockey community to the Wolves.”
More hires are expected over the next couple of weeks.
