Slowly but surely, efforts to spruce up the area surrounding the myFM Centre are starting to shape up.
The expanded space inside the local arena opened up during the winter months, and the town has had to wait for the weather to get warm enough in order to finish its renovations outside the building.
Visitors won’t have to worry about potholes in the arena’s new parking lot or gravel outside the daycare centre, according to the town’s Director of Development, Environment, and Infrastructure, Eric Withers.
Withers says those renovations won’t just end immediately outside the arena either; a number of improvements are also coming for walking traffic coming through Ma-te-Way Park.
It’s part of a desire to meet the needs and demands of residents, who have been waiting patiently for everything to fall into place.
Visitors to the myFM Centre will need to be mindful of the renovations as they happen over the course of the next couple of months.
