Getting in and out of Renfrew from Highway 17 will be a bit more difficult starting this week.
Construction on the final portion of the Connecting Links project along O’Brien Road from Mask Road to Wrangler Road, including the introduction of a roundabout at the Wrangler Road and Innovation Drive intersection, is now underway.
The project also entails an entire reconstruction of the underground water and sewer, granular base, electrical, paving, and landscaping of the affected roads, which will happen during daytime hours.
It’s the third major infrastructure project happening at the moment in Renfrew, with parts of Argyle Street and Hall Avenue also closed off to traffic to complete a rehabilitation and watermain replacement.
