With both Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49 offering big jackpots this weekend, OLG is reminding potential winners about a new way to play as a group.
“Ontario’s two favourite lottery games are offering a combined $157 million in top prizing this weekend, which means each group member will have a chance to take home a bigger piece of the pie if the group wins,” reads a press release.
Tonight’s (May 31) Lotto Max jackpot is $70 million plus an estimated 24 $1 million Maximillions prizes.
Saturday’s (June 1) Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball draw is offering a $58 million jackpot. There are only six balls left – five white and one gold.
In addition to the Gold Ball Draw, LOTTO 6/49 offers a set $5 million CLASSIC jackpot every draw.
OLG has made it easier to play the lottery with your friends, family and coworkers with the new Group Play platform on OLG.ca and on the OLG app. Players can form online groups, purchase lottery tickets together and track prizes electronically.
The process is simple – register on OLG.ca, create a group and invite members to join.
If a group wins under $1,000 per play, the system automatically splits the prize equally between the members that participated in the Group Play. For larger prizes, winners follow the standard prize claim process.
