The Ottawa Valley is the perfect starting point for the touring festival currently set up in Renfrew.
Poutine Feast kicked off a four-day stay outside the Visitor Information Centre on Mask Road this Thursday as curious and hungry residents dropped in to sample the dozens of different award-winning variations on the iconic dish being served all weekend long.
Master of Ceremonies Dave Conway says the Ottawa area-based promotion got its start with a phone call back in 2018.
Poutine Feast has since grown from a 9-stop tour in 2018 to featuring 22 different destinations, including Petawawa, Renfrew, and Arnprior, as some of Ontario’s finest poutine producers vie to be part of the growing festivities.
Renfrew is one of five new towns added to the Poutine Feast schedule this year as they continue to experiment with new locations and communities, and Conway notes that a good turnout could mark the start of a new local tradition moving forward.
Poutine Feast will be open outside the Visitor Information Centre from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26th, and Saturday, April 27th, as well as from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 28th.
