Now that the April 8 solar eclipse has come and gone in our area, you may be wondering what to do with your disposable eclipse glasses.
Well, through non-profit group Astronomers Without Borders, you can help underserved communities around the world.
Renfrew Public Library is collecting the used glasses.
“Bring them back to the library! We will be sending any gently used glasses to Astronomers Without Borders for redistribution. The glasses will go across the globe to communities to view future eclipses,” reads a social media post.
Glasses will be collected until the end of May.
