UPDATE 3:37 p.m.
Despite what you may have heard, St. Joseph’s Catholic High School did not go into lockdown on Friday.
Renfrew OPP was called to the school at around midday on Friday after receiving a report of what was believed to be a gun threat.
They tell myFM that officers found “absolutely no threat to public safety,” and a lockdown of the school was never called for what they are describing as an “isolated incident.”
Local police and the administration at St. Joe’s say that they are both continuing to look into the matter.
