Ontario schools are debating on banning cell-phone use for students. The Toronto District School Board is considering a total ban of cell phones for students, a move the Ontario Ministry of Education says is welcomed. This could be happening across Ontario as schools start to debate weather or not this is a concern that would benefit education for students. The Renfrew County District School Board has not had any discussions about banning student devices. While students are permitted to use their phones at school for educational purposes, they are still required to use both their personal devices and District-provided devices in adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Appropriate Use of Technology procedures.
