Get ready for a festive extravaganza in Renfrew this weekend!
This year’s Santa Claus Parade, featuring Ol’ Saint Nick himself, rolls through town on Saturday, December 2nd.
Janyne Fraser, the town’s Community Outreach Specialist, has all the details on what is shaping up to be a magical evening.
Fraser says the Great Big Man in Red will stick around to meet and greet at Argyle Street Rec Centre afterwards.
She adds that it’s a perfect chance to give Santa your letter if you haven’t already sent it off.
Community members taking part will no doubt be hoping for better weather this time around after strong winds and rain last year postponed the festive romp through downtown by an extra week.
While similar conditions are something Fraser would like to avoid, she knows the town is always excited for the chance to see Santa.
Renfrew’s Santa Claus Parade will take off from the Armouries Building this Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m. and travel down Veterans Memorial Boulevard towards Raglan Street South before wrapping up at Munroe Avenue.
