A 21-year-old from Ottawa is facing massive drug charges after a bust in Whitewater Region. Just after 4pm on Friday, Upper Ottawa Valley OPP made a traffic stop along Highway 17. After an investigation, police seized a significant quantity of cash along with cannabis and suspected oxycodone.
As a result of this investigation 21-year-old Aurelien BOUTALEB of Kanata has been charged with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA), Criminal Code (CC), HTA, Cannabis Control Act (CCA) and Tobacco Tax Act (TTA) offences:
· Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – oxycodone
· Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
· Possess unmarked cigarettes
· Possess more than one licence
· Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle
· Speeding
· G1 licence holder – unaccompanied by qualified driver
· Driver fail to surrender licence
