Jessica Forgie will lace up her running shoes to recognize a “beautiful soul” this weekend.
She tells myFM in the Morning that all skill levels are welcome to join her this Saturday, September 30th, outside the Neat Coffee Shop in Burnstown as she raises money for the ALS Society of Canada.
Forgie also gives us a sneak peek at what runners, walkers, and bikers can expect as they hit the road.
The charity run was inspired by Forgie’s late aunt, Linda Hull, who passed away from the disease in 2018.
Jessica tells us that the support that the run has already received from the community so far has been greatly appreciated.
That includes local businesses that have put together snacks and drinks for the runners, as well as gift card prizes for the best times.
Registration for the run gets underway at 8:00am on Saturday for a donation of $20 for adults and $10 for kids before the 2k, 5k, and 10k walk/run and 23k bike ride hit the road at 9:00am.
