The Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation got to celebrate one last successful Golf Classic with Jim Lemenchick.
The outgoing Chair for the RVH Foundation and creator of the event thanked golfers and foundation members at the reception inside the Renfrew Golf Club on the evening of Friday, September 23rd.
25 years and over a million and a half dollars raised later, he considers himself lucky to have been involved.
This year, community figures, organizations, and even our own local member of Provincial Parliament were on hand as the Golf Classic brought in $78,220.
Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MPP John Yakabuski acknowledged the RVH Foundation’s staff and board members for their quarter century of running the annual signature event.
Meanwhile, former Foundation Executive Director Barb Desilets tells myFM that it’s the community support that has kept it running for so long.
Over 40 teams teed off at the Renfrew Golf Club in support of funding equipment for the local hospital.
