Although it is the Ottawa Valley Cycling and Active Transportation Alliance (OVCATA) and Mississippi Mills Bicycle Movement (MMBM) that are presenters of a workshop on developing Cycle Tourism in the region, it is Eganville resident Bob Petlzer who is the driving force.
Peltzer believes we’re on the cusp of untapped opportunity.
Peltzer says we should not sell ourselves short.
The cycling spokesperson says OVCATA and the MMBM are hosting a meeting Wednesday (September 13th) at the Nick Smith Centre in Arprior (from 9:30AM to 2PM) to discuss the infinite possibilities.
A group of local business people, tourism operators, cycling advocates, and municipal leaders from Renfrew and Lanark Counties are meeting to discuss how towns along the Ottawa Valley Recreation Trail/Algonquin Trail can maximize economic benefits of the trail.
On Wednesday, September 13th, the group will host a meeting at the Nick Smith Centre starting at 9:30AM
Featured presenters also include Louisa Mursell of Ontario by Bike, Jennifer McCourt of Discovery Routes/Voyageur Trail and Peltzer himself.
He says there’s still opportunity to register.
