A “purpose driven business” that has just gotten underway is making small contributions to help people in our community with each live show they put on.
Beyond the Crystal Cauldron owners Kayla Pilon and Chris Kyte say that giving back to the community is baked in to how they operate, as they head to social media for a monthly public show of their stones and “witchy items” for sale with a cut of the night’s earnings going to a charity or organization that specifically helps residents in the Renfrew area.
Even if the donation ultimately ends up with a larger group, the couple say that directly handing the money to the people who benefit from these donations reminds them why it’s important to help those in need.
Since starting up last June, they say that they’ve raised around $5,000 in total and around $500 a month on average. While the the numbers are modest now, their hope is to continue to grow their business and the amount they donate each month.
Understanding that they operate in a small, rural community, Chris says everybody is looking for support and donations and that it’s their responsibility to give back as much as they can.
