Over three decades of experience will leave Renfrew’s Town Hall for the last time.
Town Council took a moment on Tuesday, March 28th to recognize Kim Bulmer, the long time Town Clerk and current Acting Director of Strategic Priorities, who is set to retire at the end of the week.
Mayor Tom Sidney jokingly noted the departure is “bittersweet.”
Bulmer fought back emotions as he took a few moments to show his appreciation to the people who have helped him over the last 32 years, adding that it’s almost impossible to believe that he’s worked with 10 different Town Councils since starting in 1991.
Bulmer also made sure to recognize his past and present colleagues, saying that they’ve faced many challenges together and learned from their mistakes as they were and continue to be “the straw that stirs the drink” at Town Hall.
Lastly, Bulmer wrapped up by thanking his biggest supporters: his family.
His thanks also extended to his children, who he says were willing to share his time with the community he served for 32 years.
For now, though, Bulmer has ended his time at Renfrew Town Hall with a “farewell and adieu.”
