Brady Enright says he wants to be a younger voice than town council has seen in the past.
The 26-year-old one of eight running for five council seats and says you shouldn’t judge him simply for his age.
Part of the local plumber’s union, Enright that engaging younger residents means giving them more access to what’s happening in council. He believes that town could look into a phone app that could keep that information available at a glance.
Another way to engage both younger and older residents is to hold more events in town, which he believes will help drive more business to local shops.
Enright also wants to make more use of the Visitor Information Centre and Howard K. Haramis Park in holding and operating local events.
Another major issue on Enright’s list is finding ways to speed up road repairs, as he believes Renfrew can’t always wait for a complete rebuilds.
Enright says the town can afford redoing just the top asphalt as a short-term solution on lower priority roads while more extensive road work is done elsewhere.
Lastly, Enright also wants more focus on the town’s rat problem and how it can be resolved.
Brady Enright is one of eight people running for Town Council in Renfrew, including Jason Legris, Guy Longtin, Andrew Dick, John McDonald, Clint McWhirter, Kyle Cybulski, and Adam Laviolette.
Renfrew will decide on five new councilors, as well as their mayor and a single School Board Trustee position on October 24th.
