
A 21-year-old driver from Campbell’s Bay has been arrested after running from police early Wednesday morning. Just before 6:30, Quebec Police attempted to make a traffic stop on Highway 148 in Bristol. The driver failed to stop and a short chase began heading eastbound. Officers were able to catch up to the vehicle on Baird Road. The driver is now facing charges of fleeing from police as well as a $1,600 fine, 18 demerit points for being clocked at 175 in a posted 90 zone. His driver’s license has been suspended for seven days and the vehicle was towed.
