A new business in Arnprior is offering retro video game rentals. Taylor Holmes, the co-owner at Valley Nostalgia, says they just started operating within the last month. Holmes says they offer rentals of retro and newer model Nintendo consoles and games.
Holmes says popular games include Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out for the NES, Golden Eye or Wave Race for the N64 and Mario Cart of Wii Sports for the Nintendo Wii.
She adds they have a number of games available and adds if Valley Nostalgia doesn’t have what you’re looking for, they can usually get it within one or two days.
Holmes adds they’ve had great feedback so far. She says most newer games for the Nintendo Switch sell for $80 and some of the good Gamecube games are upwards of $100. She says Valley Nostalgia offers 3-day rentals for $5.
Right now game and console rentals can be arranged by contacting Valley Nostalgia on Facebook with porch-pick up available in Arnprior. Holmes says they’re working with two local businesses to offer additional pick-up locations.
Valley Nostalgia will also be featured as a part of the Family Day activities in Arnprior with game systems set up from noon until 4:00pm.
