Local libraries are happy to help when it comes to printing out proof of vaccination or booking appointments to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Renfrew Public Library is open to the public. The library is Renfrew is asking visitors to try to limit time in the facility to under one hour. Staff at the Renfrew Public Library can help with booking vaccine appointments, printing and laminating QR codes for proof of vaccination. In-person programming at the library has been postponed for the time being, however there’s some virtual programming available.
The Whitewater Region Public Library, which includes branches in Cobden, Beachburg and Foresters Falls has also returned to curbside services only. The online catalogue will feature what’s available and residents will be notified when books are ready for pickup.
The Bonnechere Union Public Library remains open to the public. The library in Eganville offers access to computers, printing and scanning as well as free wifi inside or outside the building. Staff can also assist with booking vaccines, printing proof of vaccination and research information on COVID-19.
Due to the new restrictions in Ontario, the Pembroke Public Library is moving to curbside pick-up and has cancelled all in-person programming. Those looking to book a vaccine appointment or have the QR code for proof of vaccination printed can call the library (613-732-8844 ext. 2) and should have their health card ready. Staff say all the information is strictly confidential. Proof of vaccination is only required for those attending in-house programs, not entering the building.
The Petawawa Public Library will remain open, and staff can help you book your vaccine appointment on one of the public computers. You can also print your proof of vaccination for free at the library in Petawawa.
The Deep River Library is closed at this time, but key services continue. The library in Deep River will offer curbside pick-up and home delivery. Computer services at the Deep River Library are available in 30-minute slots and staff can also help with COVID-19 vaccine booking or printing the proof of vaccination.
