Residents in Renfrew County and District have a number of options when it comes to getting a COVID-19 test.
Tuesday, January 4th, 2022, testing sites are available at the Shady Nook Rec Centre in Laurentian Valley (9:00am to noon and 1:00pm to 3:15pm), the Horton Community Centre (9:00am to 11:30am) and the old site of the Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior at 275 Ida Street North (1:30pm to 4:30pm).
On Wednesday, testing will be available at Shady Nook (9:00am to noon and 1:00pm to 3:15pm), the paramedic base in Barry’s Bay (10:00am to 11:00am) or the Astrolabe Arena in Cobden (1:30pm to 4:00pm)
On Thursday, the Shady Nook Rec Centre in Laurentian Valley will be the only place to get tested for COVID-19 in Renfrew County and District (9:00am to noon and 1:00pm to 3:15pm).
On Friday, residents can book an appointment at the Shady Nook Rec Centre (9:00am to noon and 1:00pm to 4:15pm), the paramedic base in Deep River (10:00am to 11:30am) or Horton Community Centre (2:00pm to 4:30pm).
COVID-19 testing will also be available on Saturday, January 8th, 2022 with locations at the arena in Cobden (9:30am to noon) and the old Grove Nursing Home location in Arnprior (2:00pm to 4:30pm).
Newly announced guidelines from the province say those with mild symptoms should NOT seek testing. Positive rapid tests will no longer require PCR confirmation and PCR testing will only be available for high-risk individuals who are symptomatic and/or are at risk of severe illness from COVID-19.
