The business community is growing in Renfrew.
Three new restaurants are planned for the location at 785 O’Brien Road in Renfrew, across from the No Frills and Giant Tiger.
The site plan includes two drive-throughs, a number of parking spots and patio locations.
While the site plan includes a location for a potential Starbucks, it’s not officially confirmed.
Renfrew’s town planner Eric Withers says the restaurant complex will back onto the Algonquin Trail which will allow snowmobiles and ATV’s to access the new locations.
Withers says work will be done in two separate phases and likely take up to 24-months (2-years) to complete.
Council supported the site plan at the August 17th meeting.
Road work from Gillian Road to Mask Road in Renfrew will also go out to tender with a goal to be completed in 2022.
The work will include a centre turning lane to help with traffic, a sidewalk on the south side of the roadway and a park and ride near the Renfrew Visitor Information Centre.
