
Two people have been charged in relation to a suspicious death that occurred at the Pine Tree Motel on Highway 60 in Eganville.
Police received a 911 call to the motel on July 21st, 2021 shortly after 6:30 p.m.
Despite life saving measures by the Renfrew County Paramedics, 40 year old Gilbert Rumleskie, originally of Barry’s Bay died from injuries at the scene.
Two males from North Algona-Wilberforce were arrested at the scene and have been charged in connection with the death.
• Brandon LAMOUREUX, age 27 – Second Degree Murder
• Jordan PLUMB, age 19 – Manslaughter
The accused were scheduled to appear for a bail hearing on July 30, 2021 before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke.
The investigation remains ongoing under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) and in partnership with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Services.
