Work is expected to last around ten or eleven weeks with a 13-kilometer detour required that will take drivers along Frontenac Road.
Acting Manager of Infrastructure with the County of Renfrew, Taylor Hanrath, says work will include removal of the existing structure, casting of new concrete footings, installation of new structure, construction of a mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) wall, and reinstatement.
A mechanically stabilized earth wall is required on each side of the road in order to improve slope stability in the area of the structure without unnecessarily infilling the stream.
