The 2020 Sunshine List in Ontario has been released. A number of public sector employees in the Ottawa Valley earned over $100,000 in 2020.
The Renfrew County and District School Board (RCDSB) had 301 employees on the sunshine list and the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board (RCCDSB) had 83. The top earner for the RCDSB was Director of Education Pino Buffone at almost $204,000 and Director of Education with the RCCDSB Mark Searson earned $172,000
The Pembroke Regional Hospital has 70 employees who earned over $100,000 last year including PRH President and CEO Pierre Noel earning just shy of $302,000.
Renfrew Victoria Hospital had 29 on the list, led by Presidents and CEO Julia Boudreau at $232,000.
The County of Renfrew had 68 staff on the list for 2020 with CAO Paul Moreau as the top earner at almost $217,000.
The City of Pembroke had 20 staff on the sunshine list in 2020, including 15 members of the fire department. Pembroke CAO Terry Lapierre was the top earner making almost $208,000.
The Town of Renfrew had 16 members on the list with fire captain Tim Hill at the top of the list at almost $152,000.
Arnprior had five members on the sunshine list in 2020 including CAO Robin Paquette who earned $144,000.
The town of Deep River had 11 members on the sunshine list the top earner last year Deep River Police Sergeant Steve Lehoux who earned just over $135,000.
OPG President and CEO Ken Hartwick was the top public sector earner in the province making over $1.2-million in 2020.
