
The County of Renfrew has provided an update regarding the COVID-19 outbreak at Miramichi Lodge in Pembroke. The latest reports show that two of the three residents who initially tested positive have been cleared and have now returned to their home unit. Unfortunately, as part of the regular surveillance testing of residents in home area 3A, two additional positive results were received and have been transferred to the Home’s COVID Care Unit. As of yesterday, there are three positive residents, with two exhibiting symptoms. Ninety-six per cent of the residents living at the Lodge received their first dose of the Moderna vaccine on February 8th and received their second dose on Monday. There are no positive cases amongst Miramichi Lodge staff who received the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine on February, 25th.
