The Renfrew Wolves will have to wait until at least mid-February to get back on the ice.
Commissioner of the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) Kevin Abrams says the earliest date they’re looking at is February 11th and several options are being considered depending on guidelines in place at the time.
Abrams says the plan is to have a season of meaningful programming.
The goal is to showcase Junior A and U18 players who may be eligible to play at higher levels such as the NHL, OHL, CHL, NCAA and U-Sport.
The CCHL says the annual Bantam Protected Draft will be tentatively moved to mid-March 2021, pending the local and provincial guidelines.
The Renfrew Wolves posted on social media saying the players are excited to get back to Renfrew when the green light is given to skate together on home ice.
