The Grove Nursing Home’s COVID-19 outbreak declared over.
The news has been shared by Arnprior Regional Health, as the RCDHU made its decision Friday afternoon.
The Grove home had been waiting out a mandatory period after a staff member had a false positive indication of COVID symptoms, followed by three negative swabs.
No other instances were reported despite extensive testing.
With the current level of community spread many of the announced restrictions remain in place.
Dr. Rob Cushman at the RCDHU has mandated that all long-term care homes in the County to continue ensuring each residents’ two designated caregivers come to the home one at a time to limit potential exposure.
In addition, indoor and outdoor visits continue to be on hold.
The residents’ recreation programs will now resume, and video chats and window visits continue to be facilitated.
