Two new doctors are setting up practice in Renfrew.
A small gathering was held at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on August 18th to welcome physicians Candice Cybulskie and Corey Nixon to the community.
Doctor Cybulskie grew up in Wilno, did her undergrad at Western University and attended medical school at McMaster University where she completed her family medicine residency.
She has spent the last year as a locum physician in Renfrew.
Doctor Cybulskie plans to open her own practice at 100 Health Village Lane in Renfrew when she completes another locum commitment which ends in March of 2021.
Doctor Nixon comes to Renfrew from the Waterloo area. He completed his bachelor of medicine, bachelor of surgery and bachelor of obstetrics at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland.
Doctor Nixon is waiting for his College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario number to begin his practice in Renfrew.
Doctor Nixon previously spent time shadowing Doctor Strader in Renfrew.
He also plans to join the team at 100 Health Village Lane.
The President and CEO at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital, Julia Boudreau, says the two physicians will be great assets to local healthcare within the community.
