Emergency crews were called out to Algonquin Park this weekend to airlift a critically injured patient to hospital.
The Joint Rescue Communications Centre (JRCC) says a Griffon helicopter was deployed on Sunday (July 26th) and Search and Rescue techs were sent out to help evacuate the hiker.
Inside Ottawa Valley reports that a 39-year-old from Pembroke fell roughly 20 feet down a waterfall and sustained multisystem trauma.
The condition of the patient is not known at this time.
Well that was one hell of a way to wrap up a great set of shifts over the weekend. 1/2 pic.twitter.com/63Cz2onDdM
