The Mayor of Mississippi Mills has issued an urgent appeal to residents to stay home this Easter Weekend.
Christa Lowry notes that recent events have been a double whammy to the municipality, with 10 COVID-19 fatalities at the Country Haven Home, among twelve recent deaths at the facility.
The Mayor advises that this afternoon, for the first time, the Leeds Grenville Lanark Health Unit revealed County-specific data, and that there are 14 community-transmitted infections in East Lanark County.
That’s the area including Mississippi Mills, Carleton Place as well as Beckwith and Montague Townships.
Stay home. Stay Safe.
