With all the restrictions from COVID-19, food banks have less volunteers, are receiving less donations and getting more calls for help. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced $100-million today to support food banks across Canada.
Trudeau says if you have the ability to help you should reach out and see what you can do.
PEMBROKE FOOD BANK
- In Pembroke the St. Joseph’s Food Bank can be reached by phone at 613-732-3807. Donations, gifts, cash or cheques can be dropped off on Mondays at the Holy Name Annex (295 First Avenue in Pembroke between 9:30am and 12:30pm).
PETAWAWA FOOD BANK
- The Petawawa Pantry Food Bank is open Tuesdays from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. You can contact them by calling 613-687-1616 and support the Petawawa Pantry Food Bank by sending an e-transfer to petawawapantryfoodbank@gmail.com
RENFREW FOOD BANK
- The Renfrew Food Bank is located at the Armories and open on Tuesdays from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. You can support the food bank by e-transfer. Call 613-433-9216 for more information and donations can be sent to renfrewfoodbank@nrtco.net
ARNPRIOR FOOD BANK
- The Arnprior Food Bank is open every Monday from 9:30 am to 12:00pm. They are located at 295 Albert Street in the Saint John Chrysostom Church basement. The Arnprior Food Bank can be reached by calling 613-688-4462 or by email at arnpriorfoodbank@gmail.com
DEEP RIVER FOOD BANK
