It was off to Toronto earlier this week for Arnprior County Councillor Dan Lynch, who attended his first Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) Conference.
The event took place from Sunday to Tuesday.
The County Councillor says the big issues on delegates’ minds were connectivity and hallway health care.
Lynch says one of his biggest fears is that Renfrew County will be split in two when the boundaries for new Health Districts are established.
That’s currently being investigated by a special committee of three who are touring Ontario and making consultations before jurisdictional lines are drawn.
Lynch worries that Arnprior would lose its Renfrew County Paramedic Service and be replaced by ambulances from Ottawa.
