Environment Canada has updated the forecast adding a freezing rain warning to the mix. Currently all of Renfrew County is under a freezing rain and rainfall warning. Residents can expect 20 to 30 mm of rainfall overnight Friday into Saturday. The rain is expected to turn over to freezing rain and ice pellets by Saturday evening then to snow later Saturday night. The frozen ground has a reduced ability to absorb this rainfall and melting snow. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. For information concerning flooding, please consult your local conservation authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry district office.
