The Renfrew Water Tower doesn’t always make the news, but when it does it’s because there’s something to talk about.
Public Works Director Mike Asselin tells myFM the standpipe requires regular inspection and maintenance, and some work has already been carried out inside the structure.
The Renfrew Public Works Director says some of the exterior repairs will be done in the Spring, once a contractor is determined.
Asselin says the work of art portion of the job would even pose a challenge for the great Renaissance painter Michelangelo.
He says the Town’s Economic Development Committee believe putting the municipal logo on the water tower will be more effective than the current: Renfrew Welcomes You.
What’s your opinion? Would you rather RENFREW WELCOMES YOU on the water tower or the Town’s LOGO?
