The City of Ottawa Traffic Department is advising of a major closure on Highway 417 that could affect your drive in and out of the Nation’s Capital this weekend.
Highway 417 will be closed both ways from Carling to Bronson on Saturday and Sunday for bridge installation.
The closure begins at 6PM Saturday and runs to 11AM Sunday.
A Pedestrian Bridge at Harmer Avenue is being installed.
There will be a signed detour in place.
While the pedestrian bridge is being put up this weekend, the crossing itself won’t open until the middle of next year.
