The county will be partnering with the Town of Renfrew to complete road work along Raglan Street and Burnstown Road (County Road 52). The work will include laying the entire road surface from curb to curb from Pucker Street to confusion corner (Highway 60 at Coumbes Street). This will be a joint project between the county and municipality and form part of the budget next year. The county is responsible for any asphalt, curbs, storm drainage, traffic signs and lights. The Town of Renfrew will be responsible for the underground water and sanitary services as well as the sidewalks. In addition, the town is considering watermain and sanitary improvements along Raglan Street South and multi-verse path from Veterans Memorial Boulevard to Barnett Boulevard. Since the top layer of asphalt will be lifted already, it’s expected there will be some cost savings and the grand total of all the work is expected to be upwards of $1.8-million.
