Water levels along the Ottawa River continue to be a concern to the people watching for local flooding.
A flood warning from the Ministry of Natural Resources is still in effect across the Upper Ottawa Valley due to continued snowmelt along the river’s basin and recent rainfall.
The Ottawa River Regulation Planning Board says minor flood levels have already been reached in some low-lying areas and warns that major flood levels could be reached between Lac Coulonge and Lake Deschenes in Ottawa when conditions peak between Wednesday and Thursday.
Residents between Westmeath and Arnprior living near the river are being asked to take precautions to secure vulnerable property.
