The Renfrew Public Library and In A Bind Renfrew: Valley Refillery & Bookstore have partnered for an exciting event being held this Saturday, April 26.
More than 10 local authors and illustrators will be in attendance and the public is invited to meet the creators, hear their stories and shop their books.
Madeline Woodfine, adult and teen programmer at the library, says there’s a wealth of local talent when it comes to books.
Among the special presentations are back-to-back children’s book readings with Terry Edwards and T.J. Riopelle and also a discussion about children’s grief and support led by Edwards at 1:30 p.m.
A noon poetry reading by Donalda Dawn Dube, fall prevention talk from Amanda Sterczyk and fiction author panel at 2 p.m. are also on the agenda.
Other participating authors and illustrators include: Stephanie Anne, MK Schultz, Haley Warren, Kate Tallo, Ebonie Kauffeldt, Theresa Munroe, Karen Kauffeldt and Amy Belder.
Woodfine tells us it’s a fitting time to be hosting a book event.
Woodfine said it’s been great partnering with In a Bind and working with owner Kinsey Maxwell to organize the event. The shop is a true gem, she said.
In a Bind will also be selling Suzy Q doughnuts for the event.
The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Find more information on the Renfrew Public Library and In a Bind Facebook pages.
