A touring caravan featuring some of the best chip trucks in Ontario expects to stay busy over the weekend, even with some uncertainty in the forecast.
Master of Ceremonies Dave Conway says Poutine Feast was eager to return for another stop in Renfrew, which got off to a great start on Thursday as guests and customers were greeted by warmer than expected temperatures and periods of sunshine at the Visitor Information Centre just off O’Brien Road.
The good news? Even if the weather cools off to what Conway saw when this year’s tour kicked off in Petawawa earlier this month, the festival’s many unique takes on the iconic Canadian dish are perfect for warming up.
The classic poutine is always a solid choice, but we asked him to recommend something perfect for those looking to get adventurous.
Conway says the team behind Poutine Feast loves that they’ve already seen a few familiar faces drop by to indulge themselves, something he hopes will continue through the weekend despite the threat of rain on Saturday.
Even if you can’t make it this weekend, Conway says there’s always the chance to meet up at Robert Simpson Park when the tour lands in Arnprior this September.
Poutine Feast’s Renfrew stop runs from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and again from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
