
Seniors aged 55 and older in Renfrew County are encouraged to participate in the 2025 District 5 Senior Summer Games, organized by the Ontario Senior Games Association (OSGA). The events will take place throughout May across various locations in Renfrew County.
Participants can choose from 19 events, including cribbage, contract bridge, bid euchre, 8-ball pool, darts, bowling, pickleball, prediction walking, prediction cycling, prediction Nordic walking, golf, bocce ball, lawn bowling, and, new for 2025, cornhole. district5.osga55plus.ca
The OSGA aims to promote active living through physical and mental activities for adults aged 55 and over. Winners of the local events will have the opportunity to advance to the Ontario Senior Summer Games, scheduled to be held in Sudbury from August 5 to 7, 2025.
To participate, individuals must become OSGA members by paying a $15 membership fee. Each event has an additional $3 district fee. Specific events have extra costs: the golf event at Whitetail Golf Course in Eganville is $50 per person, and the bowling event at Opeongo Bowldrome in Renfrew is $15 per person. Calabogie Club 55+
Registration forms are available online at osga55plus.ca and at local Senior Active Living Centres or Community Recreation Departments.
